1, 2, 3…
I would have found the following useful when I was first learning to count. Perhaps you would have found it useful, too.
I haven’t found any such matrix in any of the books I’ve studied on counting and probability
. The information is all there, sure. But the matrix is helpful for the subtle distinctions.

I have to wait nearly a month for a new post … and THIS is what I get??
I’m writing a compiler this summer. I *promise*, things will get more interesting.
Awww…to late. Also, a bit useless if you don’t understand the theory well enough.
Lets test it out: How many 14-letter words can be formed (out of 26 letter alphabet) with exactly 4 vowels and no repitition?
Not everyone at once…
(14 choose 4) * P(5,4) * P(21,10)
It’s not a replacement for the content of those books. But I found it a useful starting point for solving certain problems.
your blog is boring…more kid pictures!! =) hello, by the way.
